Cusco Suites - The hotel
Cusco Suites Boutique Hotel is set in a private court yard
closed off from the street. It is a 250 year old colonial house of the
Garmendia family, one of the most long established families in the city.
The house was built in 1751 in the Baroque and Mudejar style, for
Martin Garmendia who came to Peru from Spain as a Corregidor
(administering the taxes and shipment of gold back to Spain).
In 1999 repair work begun on the house, maintaining its original
style, but decorated to a very high standard and keeping its historic
charm. Every room is different but all are en suite and several
have their own sitting room attached; some open on to the court yard
balcony.
It is located only two blocks from the main square of Cuzco and close
to the most important tourist and cultural attractions of the city.
Discover Cusco, and at the same time relive the beauty of the colonial
era.
